Glimpsing places visited , observed nature , emotions and memories …sometimes in person and sometimes in the imagination but always trying to capture that feeling we all experience when our worlds brush against that moment in time and it moves us emotionally .. Anything from Sakura blossom to koi or birds in nature .

From traditional Japanese imagery .. often taking composition from Japanese artwork and giving it a unique twist of the 21st century. To decorative abstracts , photography and more recently utilising Suminagashi , an ancient art printing floating ink on water on washi paper and silk .
influenced by her love of Japanese and eastern art on screens and furniture which she restored in the Notting hill area in the 1980s . particular love of Utamaro and Hokusai .. perceiving beauty in the most unusual places … producing mesmerising eclectic images often on metal leaf evoking the essence of the subject not simply a reproduction .
Trained by international interior designer Thomas messel as a decorative painter she has artwork, and murals commissions worldwide and artwork in hotels and private homes
